3rd Party Streaming Applications

IMPORTANT UPDATE – SkyStream Streaming Specialist will not be able to provide any support or help with any third party application such as Showbox, Mobdro, Megabox or MovieHD as they are very unreliable and unpredictable. We strongly suggest that you use KODI for all of your streaming needs. Please do not call SkyStream asking for help regarding Showbox, Mobdro, Megabox or MovieHD as we will not be able to help at all and will direct you to use KODI for streaming. Third party applications like Showbox, Mobdro & MegaBox are developed by third party developers that have no affiliation with SkyStream.

These applications are what we call “cookie cutter” streaming apps. They are downloaded and used by many people from all over the world. The majority of the time these applications cannot handle the amount of users and the video buffers. This has nothing to do with the SkyStream unit in any way. It is simply that the application cannot give you enough data to stream the video without buffering.

If you have 10 Mbps of internet getting to your unit and the video is still buffering it is because the application cannot give you enough data. SkyStream cannot do anything to increase the server capability or speed for an applications server.

We recommend that all of our users use and learn the KODI program as it is made up of 50+ streaming applications in one program. These programs are more stable and have less users then the “cookie cutter” streaming apps.

We cannot fix an application that was developed and is controlled by a third party developer. The best we can do is give you the latest version of the application. If the latest version is not working properly then the application is down and will need to be fixed by the developer. The time frame of the app being fixed is completely up to the developer of the application. SkyStream has no control over this time frame.

If you feel like the application is outdated and would like to uninstall the old version and install the latest version please email us at thirdpartyapps@skystream.com. Please specify in the email which addon you would like instructions to update. We will email you a PDf with pictures and instructions within 24-48 hours. Follow all of the instructions exactly.

If you install the latest version of the application and it is still not working, then the application is down. Use another streaming application like KODI.
